Day 39 10/2/2017 Returning to the Atlantic

Today is a cruising day and marks the start of our return, and even though we have two further very beautiful ports it still seems sad that it will soon be over, and these soupy yellow waters of the Mighty Amazon will soon be a distant memory.  :(

The weather is overcast with "squally" showers and the temperature is now 25C

In art today  and for a memory of this part of the cruise we created an impression of Amazon trees using negative painting.  I had a go at three different colours, this one is Deb's picture.  I will add mine later.

At 21.30 we had passed the estuary and cleared the Amazon Bar, getting back into the North Atlantic Ocean on our way across to Cabo Verde.
