We came out of the Amazon and "turned right" moving southwards and then entering the Para river towards one of another Brazillian city, called Belem, but only for refuelling, not for a trip off the ship. This involved a tanker moving along side of the ship and a four hour process. After dinner at night we were off again.

We noticed our cabin had got a slightly wet carpet again early today and got a blower in to dry it before it got too bad, but then after the theatre around 10 p.m. the deluge returned only this time, thanks to a very decisive manager we were evacuated to a much smaller cabin on C deck while a team dealt with lifting the carpet and drying out the room. Not a good day.
