Day 23 25/1/2017 Montego Bay, Jamaica

Jamaica was  just like we imagined.  A lovely day.  Everyone egging us on to say "No problem" and "Yeah Mon" - I think they might have been taking the micky out of us, but never mind, we all obliged.  Temperature high of 29C today. that's the hottest so far on the cruise.

We arrived in Montego bay and it was lovely.

Our outing was to go rafting on Martha Brae,  but it took some organising.

We had two lovely people as our guides.  Kimberley on the coach up to the river and Trevor on the raft on the river.

Kimberley also did a lot of on coach entertainment, largely becasue of the delays and her apparent desire to please and appease.  It can go badly wrong when passengers get overheated and have to queue so she did a really good job.  Seems like Khachik and I can just sleep through most things!  Although not both t the same time!

Off the coach there was some  entertainment  while queuing performed a local busker, and a very welcome a fruit punch,  The entertainer was called John singing all the popular Jamaican songs with a lot of Bob Marley..  There was a botannical garden in the waiting area, but precious little shade, so most of us stayed under the canopy of the bar.

We weren't really kept informed of what was happening today so we all felt a bit anxious about the long wait before we met Trevor for a beautiful experience of 2 in a raft. in spite of mobility issues.

Then came a notable if not historic event as a coach full of passengers missed the ship and had to be tendered to where it had anchored for us.  More in coach entertainment, regulations, like accompanying us to the toilet (then forgetting a couple and having to make a u turn to rescue them)
Alan Carr (same knight in shining armour as USA immigration saviour) to the rescue again making sure we were greeted with prosecco and wet flannels to freshen up before dinner.
